FIFA is a football (soccer) game published by Electronic Arts.

FIFA is more “real” than PES, how so? Well, the physics seem more real, it is as though the ball would react more closely in real life as it does so in FIFA, as it does compared to PES. PES is more arcade style. This depends on how you feel which is better. Personally, I like realism over arcade, I used to play PES, up to PES 2012, when I switched to FIFA, I felt PES was too unreal for me, as though the player could hit the ball from any angle and the ball could be hit perfectly.
FIFA has some problems, as do almost all sports games. There are a lot of bugs, some don’t bother, others are a nuisance, and it starts to affect your mood. One of the small bugs is errors in the physics and AI, which makes players start falling on top of each other as they try to jump and get to the ball; if you are playing with a friend, it is very funny, but when you play a ranked game, and lose by a goal because this happened to your defense, it bothers you. The biggest bugs I found are one in which you pause the game just as the ball leaves the field, and the game freezes in the pause menu, I don’t have to explain the problem with this. And the other is that, in career mode, the game freezes after passing a selected date, no mater what you do you cannot overcome this problem, I had 3 saves, all of them freezed at the same date, it was very frustrating, after having played over 5 seasons, to have to start all over.
One major backpedal is the amount of time the game takes to load. I played on a ps3, and the game takes FOREVER to load, the worst thing is that it takes time trying to connect to the EA server, when I want to play offline with a friend.
The graphics are good, but it feels as though a game this day in age could do better with the crowds and not have the same cardboard crowds as the games had 10 years ago. But still, graphics are pretty good, and are getting better every game, even though it is only gradual.
The crowds seem realer than previous games, but FIFA is more of the gameplay, than the environment. PES does a much better job making you feel inside the game, the crowds are much realer, they have the official sponsorship of UEFA, this gives them an advantage over FIFA as they can put the real song, the real ads, etc. But remember that FIFA has all of its teams officialized by the teams, as PES doesn’t.
A gameplay feature FIFA has that PES doesn’t is that in Be a Pro, you can be a goalkeeper, and even a defender, while in PES only midfielder and forward.
In conclusion, FIFA 13 is a no-brainer if you like football, even it has several things to fix.
